ABOUT THE AUTHOR
This poet is not very known so much, so there is no information about this person. But I hope he/she becomes famous in the future.
PERSONAL RESPONSE
This poem tells about how courage can be good for
us, but also shows how too much courage can ruin us. It also tells about how
courage can divide people, so everyone won’t feel equal. For a text-to-text
connection, the poem relates to a movie I saw that shows how a fat girl didn’t
have courage with herself, so she got a surgery and became pretty. But then her
courageousness led her to become a completely different person, which made her
lose all the people who were around her. For a text-to-self connection, the
poem reminds me of a friend I had before he left to Ohio. He didn’t have
courage for himself, but I helped him get the courage he needed, and then he
went overboard with the courage. So I had a long talk with him to balance his
level of courage and his level of good friend. For a text-to-world connection, the
poem can pretty much tell about how people would think about the word ’courage’
from good and bad. One phrase that stood out the most in the poem is “Courage determines the cool courage
divides the weak” because the phrase basically tells the truth
about the division between the courageous people to the weak people. I like the
part how the poem is full of the truth about courage. I would suggest the poem
to have a better description about how people who got their courage start to
become different from their former self, and to the moment how they slowly
change back to their former self.

After reading the poem and thinking about the title for the second time, I was able to see that the title does not tell about what courage is, but the word 'courage' is like a lesson to us. The title is there to give us a thought about courage. This can help people how to control their courage to maintain a equal right with people
